Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders

Magnolia Creek Treatment Center seeks to help women (18+) recover from various types of eating disorders such as: anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, other specified/unspecified eating disorders, rumination disorder, pica, and avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder. Magnolia Creek, dually licensed as an eating disorder and mental health treatment center, can tailor the program for co-occurring mental health conditions such as mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, attachment disorder, dissociative disorders and personality disorders. We are a residential program with only 14 beds so that treatment can be individualized to accommodate the unique needs of our clients.

We are now accepting clients for participation in our day treatment, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs, including evenings and Saturdays. Castlewood at The Highlands

Castlewood at The Highlands is one of the most highly regarded and Joint Commission Certified facilities in the Southeast. Our facility is open to both men and women, ages 16 and above. Gayle Janzen, PhD., Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Janzen uses an individualized, multi-level approach to help individuals and their affected family members deal with the feelings, thoughts and behaviors involved in their eating disorder. She teaches them new ways of coping with the underlying relationship issues and life stressors which often hinder their recovery. Having specialized in this treatment for over 20 years, she has developed a deep appreciation for both the tremendous difficulty these disorders cause the individual and the great potential each person has for recovery of a normal and healthy life.

Caroline Sasser, MSW, LCSW

Caroline Sasser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who treats children, adolescents and adults in individual, family and relationship counseling. Her areas of expertise include eating disorders, self-esteem/body image challenges, broken or strained relationships, anxiety and depression. Gaining hands on experience as a primary therapist and body image specialist at Magnolia Creek Treatment Center for Eating Disorders, she uses a unique and personalized collaborative treatment model which includes incorporating loved ones when appropriate. She consults regularly with medical providers, dieticians, schools and coaches and uses a variety of experiential techniques during treatment.
