Treatment Model: Jennifer Adler provides a compassionate approach to nutrition. By introducing people to individualized, realistic nutritional options and explaining the chemistry and philosophy behind those choices, Jennifer empowers clients to develop lifelong, healthy, and conscious relationships with food. Jennifer teaches that our bodies are always striving towards health, and we need to provide proper nourishment to reach that goal. Yet what’s "proper " for one client may not work for another, and one client may define "health" differently than another. Further, because people have limited schedules and palates accustomed to certain types of diets, Jennifer offers a non-threatening approach to nutrition that incorporates balanced, nutrient-dense, appealing and easy-to-prepare menus.
Ms. Adler treats Anorexia and Bulimia; males and females, children, adolescents, and adults. She also works with Athletes and Compulsive Exercisers, Food Addiction, Binge Eating Disorder, Obesity, Pica, Night Eating Syndrome, Compulsive Overeating, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).

Jennifer is unique in that she regularly travels around the globe to learn the most promising new techniques and time-honored practices in agriculture and meal preparation. To her, food isn’t just fuel; it’s part of our culture and our history. Her passion for all aspects of nutrition, from seed to soil to plate, is evident whether she’s in a private counseling session or in front of an audience of 1,000. Currently, Jennifer provides individual and family nutrition counseling at her private practice, Realize Health, in Seattle and is an adjunct faculty member at Bastyr University. She also develops and delivers nutrition and health and wellness classes all around the United States for diverse audiences at corporations, natural food markets, sports organizations, and schools. Her inclusive and refreshing style has been recognized by students all over the Seattle area and her classes are frequently standing-room-only. Treatment Model: As a Nutritionist & Energy Medicine practitioner, I work with clients to transform their relationship to food, body and Self. Even the most dramatic or entrenched pattern of disordered eating can be broken when a client learns to listen to her body, stay present with herself, employ curiosity and be open to healing on all levels of Being. The philosophy & experience that guides my practice is that deep and lasting change does occur as clients are supported to shift beliefs, behavior and taught to trust. My approach respects the Path my clients have already walked, and focuses on the positive, moving forward, and letting go. Sessions include nutritional counseling and energy work. While energy work is NOT a magic eraser, it is certainly a powerful tailwind. For clients who are not drawn to receive energy work, I do offer counseling services solely.

Because recovery from an eating disorder can be a lengthy process, they have developed a series of program components which provide both short term intervention and long term care. They treat patients in a "milieu" style environment which provides comprehensive support to help minimize acute episodes, which can lead to expensive inpatient hospital care. This is accomplished utilizing all or select components of their therapeutic offerings. Visit the website for more information on the services offered at the Moore Center for Eating Disorders.

Treats Anorexia and Bulimia; also specializes in chemical dependency.
Treatment Philosophy: The Center's philosophy is that you must treat the whole-person - Mental, Emotional, Physical and Spiritual. Their team approach to treating these issues includes individual and group counseling, as well as nutritional education, medical care by our staff physician (or for those who are currently working with a physician, we will gladly work in conjunction with them) and physical care based on each client's individual needs. Our treatment team consists of medical doctors, naturopathic physicians, a registered nurse, certified personal trainer, massage therapists, registered dietitians, mental health and chemical dependency specialists.
Anybody that is suffering from an eating disorder needs to have unconditional love, acceptance and forgiveness. They also need to learn how to forgive themselves, and forgive others who may have abused or harmed them. The Center does not believe force will change those suffering from eating disorders. Force does not work. It can drive the eating disorder deeper and deeper. Instead of force, at The Center, they provide an atmosphere of acceptance where change can take place. They look beyond the eating disorder and reach into the person's heart and see them as a person who needs love and acceptance.
