Treatment Model: I believe it's important to work collaboratively with my
clients to develop a plan for recovery that works for them. I have an eclectic
approach and integrate narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques,
mindfulness, body-image and emotion-focused practices into therapy. I think it
is important to involve partners and families in treatment and I am comfortable
providing education, support and coaching as needed. Whenever possible, I
coordinate with nutritionists and physicians who specialize in treating eating
disorders to improve the care I am providing.

I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults who are struggling to
recover from anorexia, bulimia and eating disorders. I like to collaborate
with nutritionists and MD's, when possible, to provide the best treatment. My
approach integrates narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral strategies,
mindfulness, emotion coaching and body image work.
I think family-based treatment is often effective with younger adolescents and
their parents.
