Treatment Model: Nutrition counseling using a non-diet approach or a structured meal plan depending on the client's needs/best interests as determined by the client's treatment team. Cognitive behavioral techniques as well as motivational interviewing. I am an empathetic listener who takes a collaborative approach in working with clients and their other treatment providers. Through caring listening and building trust, I work closely with clients to create a nutrition plan that meets their needs and helps them move along the road to recovery.
Ms. Engle treats Anorexia and Bulimia; males and females, children, adolescents, and adults. Susan also works with Athletes and Binge Eating Disorder, and Obesity.

Dr. Burckes-Miller is a full time professor in health education and she is also a certified health education specialist, as well as a certified eating disorders specialist.
Graduate Eating Disorders Institute, Plymouth State University. Mardie Burckes-Miller, Ed.D. CHES, CEDS serves as the director and a professor of a unique eating disorders focused graduate program. At Plymouth State University, you can become more informed about the many faces and facets of eating disorders and become a catalyst for action. If you have a bachelor's degree or higher and an interest in the field of eating disorders, come to Plymouth State. You can enroll in a stand- alone 15 credit Eating Disorders Institute, an MED with a 15 credit focus in Eating Disorders, or for those professionals with a MED/MS a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies with a focus in Eating Disorders. Unique features include: New 2 weekend format per class, for working professionals, small classes( less than 10), faculty who are eating disorders professionals, students from a variety of disciplines, hands-on courses, finish in 12-16 months part-time.
