inside themselves to identify and face their fears. In my work I am privileged

Ms. Allen has been trained and is involved in teaching the Internal Family Systems model of psychotherapy which was developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz, Ph.D. in Chicago and is currently used across the country and in some treatment centers to address many issues including eating disorders, depression/anxiety, trauma and relationship concerns. While this is not her exclusive approach to treatment, it is highly collaborative and respectful of the client's internal "system" such that the client can usually uncover personal resources and insights more directly than tends to occur with other forms of therapy, and thereby puts the client in the "lead" to achieve healing from all types of eating disorders.
