Treatment Model: Frank Trupiano is Eclectic in nature, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, and Self-Psychology. More recently, he has been using hypnosis and EFT Emotional Freedom Techniques to help people with eating disorders. Recognizing that eating disorders are a multidimensional problem, his philosophy is holistic; i.e., he evaluates and treats the whole person: physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual. His approach can also be considered a lifestyles approach, as he does not teach a specific diet, but teaches clients how to eat healthy and develop healthier lifestyles.
Mr. Trupiano treats Anorexia and Bulimia; males and females, adolescents and adults.
He also works with Athletes, Compulsive Exercisers, Food Addiction, Binge Eating Disorder, Night Eating Syndrome, Obesity, Compulsive Overeating, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).

Frank Trupiano has been working in the field of behavioral psychology for twenty-plus years, and has literally helped hundreds of people make lasting life changes. When you become a client of his, you become a very important person. You have his commitment that he will do everything in his power to help you. In fact, over the years, in an effort to find solutions for his clients, he has researched and learned a number of the most advanced psychotherapy techniques. He prides himself on staying on the cutting edge in his field. As a therapist, he is eclectic in nature, and he is very active in his sessions. What that means is that he will ask a lot of questions and draws on a number of different approaches to help you. Sometimes he acts as a therapist; at other times, he acts as a coach or a teacher. It all depends on what you need. If you want a therapist who is very formal and seldom gives directions, you probably won't feel comfortable working with him. He is warm, friendly and down to earth.
