Treatment is based on the assumption that eating disorders develop from multiple factors: cultural pressures, disturbed family relationships, individual personality factors and individual experiences, and physiological factors. The Charis Center believes that good recovery is achieved by collaboration between physician, psychologist, dietitian, patient, and, when appropriate, patient's family. Psychological treatment is integrative, emphasizing cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, and family perspectives. The Charis Center provides experienced, licensed staff members with advanced degrees who specialize in the treatment of eating disorders. Our senior staff members offer over 70 years of combined experience in treating patients with eating disorders.
