Treatment Model: I believe wholeheartedly in helping the whole family. The treatment model I use is the Maudsley Approach. This approach will guide you step by step in how to re-feed your child at home to prevent long distance treatment and hospitalization. I have seen kids and families restored from anorexia much more quickly. One of my favorite parts of the Maudsley Approach is the whole family is on the same plane in terms of psycho-education. Everyone in the family knows as much as the suffering child does. This helps everyone work together to bring healing to your child and family. Also each family member has a role to play in helping your ill child recover.
Families no longer have to feel powerless and stand on the periphery of treatment. You know your child best and are in the best position to help her. All you need is education, coaching and empowerment and you can re-feed her at home successfully.
Ms. Moore treats Anorexia and Bulimia; females, children, adolescents and adults. She also works with Athletes and Binge Eating Disorder.
