Treatment Philosophy:
Our treatment approach provides education, support and practical feedback to
help patients understand and resolve long-standing behavior patterns, habits and
coping skills that have simply become too emotionally and physically expensive.
In part by becoming more sensitive and compassionate with oneself, patients can
learn to identify new ways of coping without also negatively affecting their
bodies and/or important relationships. I prefer a team approach utilizing
nutrition, psychiatry, family education and medical support when possible.
Treating Eating Disorders since the Year: 2003
Metro Behavioral utilizes a team approach including psychotherapy, family therapy, nutritional counseling, psychiatry, medical supervision specific to eating disorders, family education and peer group support.
