Who is Treated and What to Expect: Psychotherapy for Individuals, Couples, Families and Groups; Adolescent Mixed Eating Disorder Support Group; Family Support Group for Parents/Caregivers of Those Suffering With An Eating Disorder; Adolescent Art Therapy - Hour long sessions using drawing, painting, beading, poetry, work with clay and collage encourage and support participants to connect with and express thoughts and feelings in a safe and non-judgmental environment. As noted by the American Art Therapy Association art therapy is "based on the belief that the creative process involved in artistic self-expression helps people to resolve conflicts and problems, develop interpersonal skills, manage behavior, reduce stress, increase self- esteem and self-awareness, and achieve insight." Benefits of Adolescent Group Art Therapy: Facilitates the productive use of creativity and the unspoken word; builds supportive interpersonal relationships and skills; benefits are to both the individual and the group as a whole. Exploration of one's art opens up the opportunity for group members to experience empathy. Group members' share, support and validate one another's experiences. Participants learn to trust themselves and others in a safe environment.
Provides a model for healthy interpersonal relationships to use outside of the group. Evidence-Based Yoga for Teens, Adults and Families: Benefits of Evidence Based Yoga - Hour long sessions are limited to no more than four or five participants and focus on establishing healthy relationships while building a sense of community. Sessions support non-judgmental awareness of self and others and the use of cognitive skills to form positive perspectives and attitudes using evidence based breathing, meditation and yoga postures. For mental health; for the body: support mental clarity and confidence, calm restless thoughts; enhance self-esteem; encourage self acceptance; decrease anxiety; experience compassion; relieve depression; release chronic tension; safely stretch and tone muscles; cultivate concentration; build stamina; reduced stress; develop flexibility; experience compassion.

Ms. Schrott inspires courage, compassion, insight and motivation that patients need to release themselves from destructive behaviors, relationships and debilitating pain. Schrott provides tools that help her patients manage ongoing anxiety, depression, trauma, or eating disorders; a condition in which she has specializes. She recognizes that trust and confidentiality are the cornerstones of the courageous journey to health giving patients' families the assurance their loved one is in capable hands. A noteworthy difference between Susan Schrott's signature approach to healing and many other therapies is, when applicable, the integration of psychotherapy, evidence based yoga and meditation and art therapy. In her experience, these combined approaches have proven highly effective in treating long-standing issues.
