I am now offering eating disorder group treatment with myself and a registered dietitian.
In addition individual psychotherapy, I also facilitate several groups. The first group provides supportive group therapy for people who suffer from eating disorders. I co-lead this group with Leah Hopkins, RD, offering help to those suffering from Compulsive Overeating, Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa. It is our intention to help group participants rediscover an intuitive sense of appropriate eating as we explore underlying issues that fuel eating behavior. I also offer a support group for families and loved ones of someone with an eating disorder. Participants will learn about eating disorders, improving relationships, coping strategies, and what to do to truly help the eating disorder sufferer. Initial interview is requested.

Treatment Model: Therapy is a powerful way to experience yourself, your life,
and the world from the outside-in. As a therapist, my goal is not to change you
but to enhance and strengthen the person you already are. The type of therapy I
offer is truly tailored to who you are and what you need. In addition to being
in private practice, I am the Clinical Director of La Ventana Eating Disorder
Treatment Program in San Jose, CA, offering Day Treatment and Intensive
Outpatient Programs. In providing eating disorder treatment, there are few
essential beliefs I have: 1) You don't have to want to recover in order to get
help or seek treatment. Definitions of what "recovery" looks like vary from
person to person. 2) If someone wants to fully recover from an eating disorder,
I believe it's possible. I believe that people struggling with eating disorders
can fully recover by breaking the addictive cycle, learning healthier coping
skills, and not only move on, but thrive! 3) And finally, recovery is worth it!
I invite you to contact me or check out my website to see if the type of
treatment I provide is a good fit for you.

understand the unique individual you are: who you are, where you've been, what
you're struggling with, what your strengths are, and where you'd like to go from
here. We believe in meeting people where they are at and that you don't have to
want to recover from an eating disorder in order to get help or seek treatment.
Definitions of what "recovery" looks like vary from person to person and this is
something we define together. Collaboratively, we can help you determine your

supported to achieve optimum physical and emotional health whatever stage of
change you are in. If someone would like to fully recover from an eating

healthier coping skills, and not only move on… but thrive! There are many
people, including some of your treatment staff, who have found peace in recovery
and now fully enjoy their lives, eating disorder free.
