Ann Marie Speno, MFT, specialized in the healing of disordered eating. In addition to her training as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Ann received her PhD in Literature and Women's Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Ann has had a longstanding interest in eating and body image issues: she wrote, researched and taught on the subject during her doctoral studies, focusing specifically on the social history of Anorexia. This understanding of the cultural component in eating disorders, combined with her counseling training, allows her to bring to her clients an in-depth and compassionate understanding of their struggles.
