Dr. Bailey has been in private practice for over 23 years, first as a Master level clinician and then a Ph.D. Psychologist. Twenty years ago she worked on inpatient eating disorders and adolescent psychiatric units, and continued her work and studies in this area. (Her MA level Research Project and Dissertation was on eating disorders). She worked within the psychoanalytic principles of eating disorders but is very knowledgeable of the cognitive-behavioral, family-systemic, bio-chemical and nutritional causes of eating disorders. In working with adolescents, she does request that the family also be in treatment, so they are "up to date" with what is occurring with their child in treatment.

Terryann became interested in eating disorders after interning in a private practice that specialized in assessments for bariatric surgery.
