Treatment Model: Centre Syracuse follows a well-established therapeutic
multidisciplinary model for treating eating disorders that integrates
individual, group, and family therapy. The model is linked to evidence-based
treatment principles and is facilitated by a team of highly knowledgeable
professionals. It employs a cognitive-behavioral model that integrates family
and interpersonal therapy, applied in an individualized manner.
Centre Syracuse treats Anorexia and Bulimia; males and females, adolescents and adults. They also work with Athletes, Compulsive Exercisers, Laxative Abuse,
Binge Eating Disorder, Night Eating Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
(OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).

We are certified by the New York State Office of Mental Health for Partial
Hospital Treatment. Our therapeutic multidisciplinary day program for
individuals 14 years and older includes physician consultation for each
admission, complete individual assessment for eating disorders, group sessions
that meet twice daily, supervised and structured meal planning and nutritional
education, psychiatric consultation, consultations with a registered dietitian,
interactive group activities, educational programs for individuals and families,
and coordination with community resources and education systems.
