As a company, they are singularly focused on one thing—Treat to Outcome.  Treat to Outcome is a commitment to keep clients in treatment until they are able to sustain treatment gains at a lower level of care, in their home communities.  In order to accomplish this, every staff member must work toward their common goal and have accountability for his or her role in helping clients create and maintain change.  It is a privilege for the therapists to work in an environment where they are able to see their treatment plan to the end. Treat to Outcome is part of Avalon’s culture and is the defining factor that distinguishes them from other programs. They work tirelessly to ensure their clients are given the time, care and potential to recover fully from their eating disorders.  The entire company has a responsibility to work together to create a long-term positive outcome for every client. You: Avalon Hills is not looking to simply fill a position.  They are looking for a particular individual—one who has a desire to join their team ready to use talents and ambitions to integrate into their culture and help fulfill their mission. The successful candidate will have a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, social work or related field.  Beyond training, he or she will be internally-motivated and possess a desire to join a team of individuals focused on making a difference by creating positive outcomes.  The therapist will be compassionate, caring and will follow through on tasks and expectations with accountability and efficiency.  He or she will work well independently and as a member of a team as Avalon continues to develop their innovative program.  Those with leadership experience or leadership potential are strongly encouraged to apply.  If this describes you and Avalon Hills sounds like a company whose philosophy of care fits with your worldview and career goals, they look forward to meeting you!  Important details: Avalon Hills is located in Logan, UT (90 minutes north of Salt Lake City) and is at the heart of a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains. Their therapeutic program integrates ACT, CBT, DBT, animal assisted therapy, experiential and brain-based interventions. Experience, leadership and familiarity with brain-based treatments are a plus. They offer a very competitive salary commensurate to training and experience and benefits package including a flexible start date. Qualified individuals may contact Wesley Wintch at wesleyw@avalonhills.org.  Include: Cover letter specifying specific interest, Curriculum Vitae or resume, and three letters of recommendation - sent directly from recommender to Wesley Wintch.  Visit their website at www.avalonhills.org  for more information about their company and program.
