Birmingham, AL: Dietitian About the Job: The Highlands Treatment Center for Eating Disorders is seeking a full time Registered, Licensed Dietitian. The Dietitian is responsible for prescribing and overseeing nutritional therapy to clients in a facility specializing in the treatment of eating disorders and other co-occurring psychiatric disorders. The Dietitian, in conjunction with medical services, completes nutritional assessments, develops appropriate nutritional plans, and ensures the continuous progress toward nutritional treatment goals throughout all levels of care; this includes, but is not limited to, the management of nutritional re-feeding and other co-occurring medical conditions. The Dietitian conducts weekly individual sessions with each client, attends weekly clinical meetings, and may also attend and participate in co-facilitating group therapy sessions. When indicated, the Dietitian also conducts educational sessions with members of clients’ support systems, including friends and family members. In addition to the above responsibilities, the Dietitian also completes required documentation accurately and participates in the continued development of policies, procedures, menus, client education, and staff education materials.
