Treatment Model: I believe that each individual with eating disorder needs follow up and close attention to their teeth. The frequent vomiting and nutritional deficiencies often associated with eating disorders can severely affect oral health. Over time, this loss of tooth enamel can be considerable, and the teeth change in color, shape and length. They can also become brittle, translucent and sensitive to temperature.
Dr. Sahafi treats Anorexia and Bulimia; males and females, adolescents, and adults. She also works with Binge Eating Disorder.
